The film version of JRR Tolkien’s The Hobbit looks set to be directed by Pan’s Labyrinth’s Guillermo del Toro. The Mexican told Entertainment Weekly that he may also be involved in the co-writing of the script with Peter Jackson, Fran Walsh and Phillippa Boyens.

Negotiations are still ongoing and there has been, as of today’s date, been not contract signed.
