Amazon and Borders expect Brisingr to be the Christmas bestseller
Amazon.co.uk has tipped the latest novel in the children’s series The Inheritance Cycle as a potential Christmas bestseller after it has spent three months near the top of its pre-order chart. Borders began taking pre-orders for Brisingr in January and the retailer expects it to be one of the bestselling titles in the Young Adult category for 2008 following on the heels of Stephenie Meyer’s record-setting Breaking Dawn.
Brisingr by Christopher Paolini will be published on the 20th September and the title has also been tipped by Borders Group in the United States. Brisingr will be the third book in The Inheritance Cycle, Eragon and Eldest having already sold 15.5 million copies worldwide.
