Terry Pratchett’s Maskerade brought to the stage

Terry PratchettA Terry Pratchett novel is being brought to the stage by an amateur drama group in Trowbridge. Maskerade, the 18th novel in the Discworld series, has been adapted for the stage by Stephen Biggs. Trowbridge Players director Angela Giddings said a host of local performers were taking part in this version of the Phantom of the Opera, with quirky twists.

The story centres on Perdita X (known as Agnes to her friends), who is seeking her fortune as an opera singer in Ankh-Morpork. All seems perfectly normal until a ghostly phantom begins to wreak havoc. Other key characters include the witch extraordinaire Granny Weatherwax and the saucy Nanny Ogg. The production takes to the stage on Wednesday (Oct 1) at the Arc Theatre in College Road, Trowbridge.

Performances will run until Saturday and tickets are priced at £8 each or £6 for concessions.

Twilight movie trailer

TWILIGHT is an action-packed, modern day love story between a vampire and a human. Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) has always been a little bit different, never caring about fitting in with the trendy girls at her Phoenix high school. When her mother remarries and sends Bella to live with her father in the rainy little town of Forks, Washington, she doesn't expect much of anything to change.
