Neil Gaiman to write a non-fiction book for HarperCollins

Fantasy author Neil Gaiman has signed a three-book deal with HarperCollins to write a non-fiction book about China. The book will be called Monkey and Me: China and the Journey to the West and its inspiration can be found in the works of Wu Cheng’en. The book will chart Gaiman’s journey from China to the west by car, coach, train and foot. The book will be his first non-fiction title since Don’t Panic: The Official Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy Companion, was published in 1988.

Neil Gaiman is one of the top ten living post-modern writers, and is a prolific creator of works of prose, poetry, film, journalism, comics, song lyrics, and drama.
