Jerry Ibbotson book signing – March 8 2009

Local Author in Book Signing – Borders, Leeds Birstall, Sunday March 8th 1pm onwards

Author Jerry Ibbotson [link to biography] will be signing copies of his first novel, Chosen, in Borders bookshop at Birstall in Leeds (near IKEA) on Sunday March the 8th.

Magic books, zombie vicars, God and fondue forks are brought together in the story of Alex Preston: a grumpy, daydreaming office worker who finds a tunnel in the basement at work. It leads to a land full of magic and fantasy. Armed with a sleeping bag and a small torch, Alex leaves his family behind and sets off to explore.
Chosen has already attracted some strong reviews and has a lively following online, with a small legion of fans on the social networking site Facebook. It has also featured on BBC Radio 5Live.

Jerry Ibbotson was a BBC journalist for ten years, ending up at Newsbeat at Radio One, where he reported on events from around the world and read the news for the likes of John Peel and Chris Moyles. He left the BBC in 2000 and now runs his own audio production company in York.

Chosen [link to book review] is his first piece of published fiction writing.
