Ursula Le Guin wins SFWA Nebula Award
Houghton Mifflin Harcourt proudly congratulates its author Ursula Le Guin on winning the distinguished Nebula award.
Le Guin fetched the Nebula Award for Best Novel for her latest work, Powers. The award, given annually, celebrates excellence in science fiction and fantasy writing. This annual juried award, whose previous winners include JK Rowling, is named for the prolific twentieth-century science fiction and fantasy author.
The SWFA, founded in 1965, is a non-profit organization of more than 1,500 speculative authors, artists, editors and allied professionals within the science fiction, fantasy and related genres. Past and present members of the association include Isaac Asimov, Anne McCaffrey and Ray Bradbury.
Le Guin has won five Nebula Awards over the last 35 years in the Best Novel, Best Short Story and Best Novelette categories.

Ursula Kroeber Le Guin was born on the 21st October 1921 in California and is an American author of novels, poetry and short stories. She has won numerous awards during her distinguished career, notably the Fantasy Writers of America Grand Master award in 2003.
