The first book in the epic medieval trilogy, The Pendulum Swings, aims to capture the imagination of every fantasy enthusiast and promises a rich story, full of magical and mysterious characters.

Here is the book’s synopsis:

Randolph is an easy-going, wandering minstrel given to flights of fancy. When he learns his good luck actually stems from magical powers, Randolph is thrust into the role of hero. The Pendulum Swings is the beginning of a medieval epic fantasy set in the Kingdom of Alusia. As Randolph discovers his special abilities, the reluctant hero is charged with saving Alusia and the entire Western Realm. His humorous journey takes many exciting twists and turns as Randolph bids to overthrow the evil Thrung and Shawadarg. On his often dangerous quest, Randolph not only finds romance, but learns how to fly and become invisible. However, Randolph also discovers that his powers come with extraordinary responsibilities, and he is forced to wrestle with his own emotions and conscience as he faces each fresh challenge.

Chris E. Warren was born in Essex, England, and currently resides with his wife in the Wicklow countryside in Ireland. He is working on the second book of his trilogy, A Wizard’s Lot.
