The World Science Fiction Society have announced the Hugo Award winners. The annual prizes have been awarded to science fiction and fantasy writers since 1955.
Congratulations to Fantasy Book Review favourite Neil Gaiman who won the Best Novel award for The Graveyard Book.
This was not the end of Gaiman’s award haul though, with the English fantasy author being awarded an Eisner Award for Coraline: The Graphic Novel. The Eisner recognises creative achievement in American comic books and is named in honour of the pioneering writer and artist Will Eisner. Gaiman’s award comes just weeks after he received the Newbery Medal for The Graveyard Book.
