Eagerly anticipated books
Joe Abercrombie will be releasing The Last Argument of Kings in March 2008 and a new novel called Best Served Cold in 2009.
Trudi Canavan, author of the Black Magician Trilogy will be writing both a prequel and a sequel to these books. The prequel will be called Magician’s Apprentice (no release dates as of yet) and the sequels will take the form of a trilogy and be entitled the Traitor Spy Trilogy. The trilogy will be released between 2008 and 2010.
Stephen Donaldson will be working on completing The Last Chronicles of Thomas Covenant which will come to a conclusion with the release of Against All Things Ending and The Last Dark. These works are still in the planning stage.
Steven Erikson’s Malazan Book of the Fallen series will be taking up much of his time and the next release will be Toll the Hounds with an expected release date of 2008. This will then be followed by Dust of Dreams and The Crippled God.
David Farland will release The Wyrmling Horde in 2008, another addition to the Runelords series.
Raymond E. Feist has yet to announce the release dates of Krondor: The Crawler and Krondor: The Dark Mage.
George R. R. Martin has yet to announce the release of the A Tale of Ice and Fire novels A Dance with Dragons, The Winds of Winter and A Dream of Spring.
